Serere, Uganda – The Minister of State for Fisheries and current Serere District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Hellen Adoa, has officially picked nomination forms to contest for another term in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
The development was confirmed earlier today at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission headquarters, where Hon. Adoa reaffirmed her commitment to continue representing the people of Serere District in the 12th Parliament.
“This moment marks a major milestone in my journey to continue representing the people of Serere District,” she stated. “With deep humility and a profound sense of duty, I have officially picked my nomination forms to contest for the Woman MP seat.”
Hon. Adoa expressed gratitude to her constituents for the continued trust and support they have shown throughout her tenure, promising to remain a dedicated servant of the people.
“My commitment to hard work and effective service delivery remains unwavering,” she said. “I am determined to be a voice for the voiceless and to champion policies that uplift and empower our communities.”
As a sitting MP and cabinet minister, Adoa has been instrumental in advancing development programs in Serere and shaping national policy through her role in the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries. Her leadership in the fisheries sector has particularly strengthened the livelihoods of fishing communities through sustainable practices and empowerment initiatives
