Renowned Teso music legend Yona Chanlee, popularly known as “Mr. Second to None”, is set to headline his first-ever major concert on Saturday, 17th May 2025 at Arrow Square, Soroti City.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Yona Chanlee has become a household name in Eastern Uganda’s music industry, thanks to his consistent string of hit songs. He rose to fame in 2013 with breakthrough tracks like “Back to School”, “Fitina”, and “Motimot”, and further solidified his influence with the regional anthem “Teso”, featuring Canis Odd.

The event is organized by Monster nation, whose management has promised a groundbreaking live experience unlike any other in the region.
“This will be the biggest live concert Teso has ever witnessed,” said the Wazhnation manager. “We’re raising the bar with a full live band setup. Fans should expect a top-tier musical experience.”
Airborne Entertainment’s Mr. Enyasu Convict, who has been managing Yona Chanlee for years, assured fans of tight security and a peaceful environment throughout the event. He also confirmed the participation of top regional artists, including collaborators who have worked with Chanlee over the years.

Speaking ahead of the event, Yona Chanlee invited fans from across the region to come out and support Teso talent and homegrown music. Representing Nako Music Empire, he emphasized that his music is educational, healing, and motivational, all of which he aims to showcase through his live band performance.
“This is not playback. It’s a full live music experience,” he said. “I believe in keeping time and delivering professionalism — anyone who has ever booked me can testify to that.”
In a light-hearted note, he addressed public concerns about drug use:
“I am always sober. But as part of our culture, during baby dedication ceremonies, it’s normal to have a taste of alcohol — and that’s it.”
This upcoming concert is set to be a landmark moment in Teso’s music history. Music lovers are urged to save the date and witness Mr. Second to None in action — live, raw, and real.
